BHSO Concert May'08

Woot I just came back from Braddell Heights Symphony Orchestra (26th May 12.20 am). It was quite an experience, playing in an orchestra with adults being the majority, having a humorous conductor (who likes to quarrel with the concert master) and a great pianist! And adding on to that, this is the first concert in which I attended only 1 rehearsal. Although two pieces are pretty side-readable, Tchaikovsky Symphony No.4 is a challenge. But somehow I managed to ram my way through (yay!). I do not know most of the people though, and this will probably be the last time I will play with them.

Our double bass section!

And 2 of our members!

P.S Hey Darius thanks for the Sakae Sushi treat, it was great. And it is fantastic to know you and Alex!

Decisions

Decisions, decisions and more decisions. Where will I get the motivation, the driving force to surge me forward; when will I be able to make up my mind and get down to serious work?

Someone show me the path, please.

May babies/ISLE workshop

I shall start off wishing a HAPPY (Belated) BIRTHDAY to the May Babies Ben, Tedson and Hui Yan! All the best in your JC lives ya!

Ok moving on, I attended this leadership workshop for ISLE student leaders yesterday from 9-4. It is really an interesting and enriching session! We reflected on the meaning of leadership to us, what we possess and lack of and did a behavioral style test. I am aghast at how close the result is to my personality. Well, I have the dominant behavioral style of an eagle, which has a general character of being determined, certain, competitive, productive, pragmatic, ambitious and influential but might be domineering, hardheaded and blunt. That is a whole chunk of characteristics of an 'eagle'. But since I am not an extreme eagle and my peacock and dove scores are quite close to that of eagle, I am definitely not domineering. I set goals for myself which I strive to achieve, I am friendly (I am right!), I can be both talkative and quiet in different contexts and I can be disorganized at times. That sort of sums up my behavioral style.

After the workshop, it is a mad rush to CCAB for SNYO rehearsal, after which some of us had to skip the tour committee meeting to celebrate the triple birthday of our double bass section! 17th of May is a wonderful day alright!

I am going to travel to Vietnam on a recce trip this June holidays, hope that I will work well with E-lynn, Ms See Tho and Mr Shuko. I must admit that our group lacks team coherence and communication. However, I will give my best in bonding my group and bringing them together as a team.

I'm reading the menu, lolx (ops it's Tedson's present)

Sleeping mode, on

Tests

Bye J2s! You have demonstrated much perception and awareness of every nuance of music we made. Rock on! We will miss all of you!

On a side note, I did really badly for my lecture and tutorial tests, haix! Pardon my rudimentary level of knowledge tests!

BWinter OGlympics

BWinter OGlympics was a blast! We laughed, we rocked, we had fun and enjoyed ourselves. What else do we need? Although some games were not played, the rest of the games turned out well, especially the mass balloon game (:

Thanks goes out to every gold member, my fellow ICs Chloe, Zeming and Han Lin, our vice president Jon Lim, our phanTom Tom, our house D Tian Kai and Grace for all their hard work put in! It is a kind of sigh of relief that the event is over, yet with a tinge of sadness lingering behind..

Tue and I

Dinner at J8, td camwhoring xD

BWinter Oglympics over! aww..

Oh yea finally got the year book today. Our expression page is brilliant I must say, however my favourite would be that of 4E with that kinda emo phrase 'Do not go where the path may lead; go instead where there is no path and leave a trail'.
