Legacy: Animes and Mangas

Wootz finally caught up with D.Gray man all the way from episode 35 to 98! Can't believe that I watched all these episodes within 4 days.

I simple love the character designs of the generals, Lenalee and Tykii, not to mention the protaganist Allen Walker. Anime fans definitely do not want to miss such a fantastic show!

These few days of D.Gray Man spamming made me remember the past animes and mangas I have watched/read. If my memories have not failed me, I watched most of my animes during secondary four. I can still remember my favourtite battle scene: Archer VS Berserker. That was stunning. I can never forget the days when I watched Mai Hime and Gundam Seed Destiny every day during dinner time. But Ichigo 100% is still the ultimate. Manaka X Tsukasa ftw! So much memories swept through my mind, nostalgic isn't it?

My favourite kind of animes is still the emo type, those animes that can let you emo for days. Fate/Stay Night and Eureka Seven are and will continue staying right on top of my list man! Animes with some imba characters are great too. I like characters such as Kira Yamato in Gundam Seed Destiny who can own the world upside down!

Here's a list of the animes/mangas I have watched/read:

Air TV*
Basilisk*
Bleach
Bleach (manga)
Busou Renkin*
Clannad
Claymore
Code Geass
Code Geass R2 (ongoing)
Cowboy Bebop
Digimon
Darker than Black

Full Metal Panic!
Full Moon wo Sagashite*
Furi Kuri/FLCL
Ghost Hunt*
Ghost in the Shell*
Gundam Seed
Gundam Seed Destiny
Gundam Wing
Gundam 00
Ichigo 100% (manga)
Kanon*
Kekkaishi

You're the boss

Today's teachers' day celebration was rather memorable. The dance item is cool, especially the second song Closer by Ne-yo. Haha rocks =) But other than that the other performances were not quite impressive, maybe because the AV kept facing technical errors, like the microphones suddenly switched off in the middle of a performance. >.> Jiayou man AV-ers.

I should really change my bad habit of doing things at the very last minute. Haiz. I guess I inherited this habit from RI culture when we can still do well in almost everything even if we start last minute. RJC is completely different, there are too much stuff to catch up, and last minute work just won't suffice. Oh well, I have to finish NYF essay by tonigh and send it over. Ciao~

Comptine d'un autre été L'après midi

I came across a video on youtube a few days ago, a brilliant one I must say. The animation and the piece are just... amazing.

The video tells a simple story, yet one can feel the sentiments deep within, as if you were in the old man's shoe.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Z2ljWwIaHs

Years have passed by, and you were an frail old man. You raised the piano lid and placed your fingers gently on the black and white keys.

A seemingly old tune sounded, as you reminisced your fairytale-like childhood.

Beijing Olympics again

It has been an enjoyable olympics watching Michael Phelps own the swimming pool upside-down, and Wade slamming on the basketball hoop. USA basketball match against Spain was a joy to see, the dunks and all were just so exciting. I think USA is going to take the gold medal home without much challenge, seeing that the USA basketballers merely treat the match as an avenue to display of their skills. -.-

斗牛,要不要 is so emo!

Sasuke

It has been such a long time since I last watched anime. Oh ya I still have not completed Clannad. Haha I am kind of sian of animes now, and time is pressing too.

Naruto manga's past few chapters are all about Sasuke owning the world upside down, why don't Naruto be called Sasuke instead? O.o But sharingan is seriously too imba already, nerf sharingan! Ok don't nerf sharingan, buff rasengan!

Beijing Olympics

Beijing Olympics opening was awesome. The symbol of dove of peace is just brilliant!

Looking forward to Sunday's China VS USA basketball match! Go Yao (:

Anyway, this weekend is pretty dull with nothing much to do. Tutorials, play piano, then slack infront of the computer. That's basically what I do everyday. And I had so much difficulty catching up with the topics I missed during the Italy Trip haiz.

National Days Celebration

National Day celebration yesterday rocked! Hope those at YO enjoyed their rehearsal too!

I spent the afternoon washing cars for ISLE fundraising, it was tiring but fun, and Mr. Gopi come down to ‘supervise’ us washing his car for a while haha. Sian I wanted to dedicate a song to my ISLE group but the DJ side keep having problems. >.>

I really liked the setting in school, the booths, stalls and IHCs. It was a pity that the $10,000 stage was unused because of the rain, but nevertheless everyone enjoyed the celebration in MPH! The performances were all great, especially the gym one. And of course it was fun seeing JN and DaGoh suaning each other haha. My class was all ultra high during the national day song singing part. We were jumping and shouting like crazy and taupoking lol! [Picture coped from DaGoh]

Oh yea a bunch of us was sitting at the centre part of the grass patch between ISH and PAC feeling the breeze before celebration started. Not Falling Apart by Maroon Five is damn nice man!

Weather on a sunny day
Time slows down; I wish you’d stay
Pass me by in crowded, dark hallways
Mmm

Try my hardest not to scream
I find my heart is growing weak
So leave your reasons on the bathroom sink

Now I can’t walk, I can’t talk anymore
Since you walked out the door
And now I’m stuck living out that night again
I’m not falling apart

I heard you say you needed me now
What’s the problem I can’t see
You destroyed me, I won’t fall apart again
I’m not falling apart!!!

OH YEA!!

BW won IHC'08! Woot rock on BW!

Gym session!

I missed the Saturday gym sessions. I missed walking with Min from our house to Khatib MRT. And I missed the songs.

And the shadow of the day,
Will embrace the world in grey,
And the sun will set for you.

I still remember listening to Linkin Park album then. (:

ISLE fund raising/Scholarship Day, Crime Zero@Bishan

Arghh I did not do any work this weekend.. Bad sign man. I am still in holiday’s mood..

K I shall start rambling on about my weekend. Saturday was ISLE fundraising and scholarship day, I reached school at 7.50 to pass the fundraising posters to Yuxuan who was busy with all the logs and stuff. The bubble tea sales and car washing went well. I realized that car washing is quite fun haha. The pail refilling, soaping and wiping were fun, and of course we chatted as we worked and got to know each other better too. I was doing my shift with Jiayue, Eileen, Eelyn, Leican and Indera. They were really nice people! We worked hard in the sun bathing the cars but our efforts paid off. =) Great job everyone!

Scholarship booths in school were nice too, I got a whole load of free goodies from there.

SNYO rehearsal in the afternoon took on the same old style. The new piece is surprisingly tough to play with the irregular tempo! The AGM went well, the video was nice, the food was nice and the people are nice. Ah well, I probably would not be going for any more SNYO rehearsals since my ISLE trip will clash with my concert, which means that I probably would not be going for assessments and audition for concerto. All the best to Ben, Ted and Claron for your auditions man! Do us proud and show them what is awesome double bass playing! =)

Today is another hectic day with Crime Zero@Bishan! I was a little reluctant to step out of my house in the morning, but decided to go instead since I signed up. The event turned out to be a ‘big thing’, with Deputy Prime Minister coming down as Guest-of-Honour. I must say that this is an excellent initiative indeed. Crimes are not solely part of the police force’s job scope, but what every citizen should ensue. We as part of this beautiful country should therefore do our part to ensure peace and stability. Crime prevention, however, is what most people took for granted, and it is undeniably because of such initiatives that Singapore is in her current state. So let us all do our part!

The event involved many students, every volunteer will either assist in mending booth or go to the blocks to promote crime prevention to the residents. I met Qingyu on the way to my designated block. We detoured a little before going to our block because of some distractions haha. After sweeping through a few floors, we managed to find our group made up of people from different groups. Somehow, people do not stick to their assigned groups haha. Therefore, our group now consists of Qingyu, Hy, QQ, Yile and XX (oh nos I forgot her name soz man). Ya. Ok we went from doors to doors spreading our message. The conversations were interesting since we just sprout lots of random stuff on the spot haha. The door knocking part is also fun, chatting with the residents and all. The residents were so patient with us! Singaporeans are patient people =) Oh yea, lunch was not bad, there was a free flow of candy floss, popcorn, drinks and food.

The afternoon was around the same thing, just that only Hy, QQ, Yile and I were left. We enjoyed ourselves more in the afternoon though. I think 斗牛·要不要 by tank is really nice, maybe I can start watching the drama!

K that is about it for Crime Zero@Bishan. I was supposed to go to Pasir Ris but did not need to go in the end.(yay)

Somehow I always see Mr. Yellow Rain wherever I go? I can see that 6F is quite a fun class with fun people like you all haha!

K now I am back at home chionging PW. I should really renounce my pathetic attitude towards studies and kick-start my ‘career’.

It has been such a long time since I watched a偶像剧! I shall catch up starting with last year's haha.
