EIE camp

School has been busy, too busy in fact. How I wish time could travel back to the good old days..

Anyway, back to blog about EIE camp, tt was last month when we students from all over Singapore gathered MOE dairy Farm Adventure Centre for a memorable 2 days camp. The camp was a wonderful experience, where I got to know students from other JCs, Polytechnics and ITEs. We had lots of fun chatting, playing drums, and discussing ethnicity issues.

To my group Karot: you guys/gals rock! What will the camp be without you all!

Karot!

Birthday

What a brilliant birthday yesterday, my dad flew back from overseas to celebrate with me!

Many thanks also to my og BW 06, Macey, Wenda, Muzzi, Adriel, Deborah, Ms. Mok, Kuangtus, Rayner, Xue Qian, Zhu, Bao, Wang Xiang, Ben, Petrina, Valentia, Kaiyuan, Eunice, Shunji, Weizhong, Enqi, Baoju, Zhangjun, and those random basketballers I met last night who wished me happy birthday. Thanks for remembering my birthday! Arghh, hope I have not left out anyone. And yea, Ms. Mok I will try my best to ace through my exams in my JC life!

2008 has been a rather special year, I have been through much ups and downs in the first four months, I have learnt to be assertive and effective, I have learnt not to be a flash in the pan, I have learnt not to prognosticate and leave my thoughts dangling. And most importantly, I have learnt to accept failures readily and face up to new challenges! Well, I cannot elaborate much, since there are just too much events happening this year that I am in pretty much in a state of confusion.

Hope I can have a pleasant JC life ahead, and get into the University of my Choice. (:

Gundam 00 totally rocks, such great plot and action, and not to forget the interperson relations, the deep friendships that the gundam meisters forged with one another. Lockon Stratos, you will always be in your comrades' hearts, and be their hero!
As a fan said, 'my already weak ability to process myself through catharsis has been rendered utterly incapable of freeing myself from the Gundam 00 universe.' (:

Birthday Celebration

Today Ted invited our bass section for a steamboat treat at his house. His house is pretty nice and cosy, the steamboat was yummy and we enjoyed ourselves eating, watching soccer and playing bridge and stuff.

Thanks everyone for the surprise advance birthday celebration! It is really thoughtful of all of you and of course, it made my day! Haha I like the presents - the cute cake, card, cd and book a lot!

NYJC performance

Friday night was a bomb! I went to NYJC to watch ‘Nayang’s got talent’. It is a talent show with various performances put up by students such as singing, dancing etc. The performances were all brilliant, especially Stanley’s remix of songs. His guitar skills are good too. Nathaniel Tan from Project Superstar 2 also came down and sang two songs, Cao cao and another song which he claimed to sing when he broke up with his gf in army. His voice is good man! And he is popular too, seeing the number of girls crowding around him at the end of the performance. But of course, Tedson rocked the stage with his beat boxing. Nice pu ci ke-ing Ted! Talent ah talent ah, haha great performance.

I feel that NYJC’s atmosphere is very relaxing, the students were exuberant, and their principal is really comical(in a good way)! It is just this feeling that the students enjoy their school lives more than we do. (:

It had been a wonderful night, I saw and felt another JC’s school life, although only for a few hours, and more importantly I enjoyed the performance and the very last remix song by Daniel Powter.

RJCE concert and SNYO concert

Hello everyone, here is an advertisement:

ReJoiCE
RJC Chamber Ensemble concert collaborating with RGS strings
RJC Performing Arts Centre
15th April, Tuesday, 7.30pm
$8 per ticket!

Please come and support!

Oh yes a quote - 'The concert essentially attempts to raise money for RJC students under the Financial Assistance Scheme. Sit back, relax and enjoy an evening of musical mastery.'

Ok now I shall go on and blog about SNYO concert on the 27th March. It was a memorable concert indeed, there were good and bad times during the preparation period. However, I felt that I have improved a great deal as a person, as a member of SNYO, as the associate principal of SNYO double bass section. Woa I sound very serious! But yea it is no joke.

A big thanks to everyone who made this concert successful (like Hao Wei and Wei Le who guided me to the building)! And of course thanks to Mr. Lim for being such a great conductor (:
