K I shall start rambling on about my weekend. Saturday was ISLE fundraising and scholarship day, I reached school at 7.50 to pass the fundraising posters to Yuxuan who was busy with all the logs and stuff. The bubble tea sales and car washing went well. I realized that car washing is quite fun haha. The pail refilling, soaping and wiping were fun, and of course we chatted as we worked and got to know each other better too. I was doing my shift with Jiayue, Eileen, Eelyn, Leican and Indera. They were really nice people! We worked hard in the sun bathing the cars but our efforts paid off. =) Great job everyone!
Scholarship booths in school were nice too, I got a whole load of free goodies from there.
SNYO rehearsal in the afternoon took on the same old style. The new piece is surprisingly tough to play with the irregular tempo! The AGM went well, the video was nice, the food was nice and the people are nice. Ah well, I probably would not be going for any more SNYO rehearsals since my ISLE trip will clash with my concert, which means that I probably would not be going for assessments and audition for concerto. All the best to Ben, Ted and Claron for your auditions man! Do us proud and show them what is awesome double bass playing! =)
Today is another hectic day with Crime Zero@Bishan! I was a little reluctant to step out of my house in the morning, but decided to go instead since I signed up. The event turned out to be a ‘big thing’, with Deputy Prime Minister coming down as Guest-of-Honour. I must say that this is an excellent initiative indeed. Crimes are not solely part of the police force’s job scope, but what every citizen should ensue. We as part of this beautiful country should therefore do our part to ensure peace and stability. Crime prevention, however, is what most people took for granted, and it is undeniably because of such initiatives that Singapore is in her current state. So let us all do our part!
The event involved many students, every volunteer will either assist in mending booth or go to the blocks to promote crime prevention to the residents. I met Qingyu on the way to my designated block. We detoured a little before going to our block because of some distractions haha. After sweeping through a few floors, we managed to find our group made up of people from different groups. Somehow, people do not stick to their assigned groups haha. Therefore, our group now consists of Qingyu, Hy, QQ, Yile and XX (oh nos I forgot her name soz man). Ya. Ok we went from doors to doors spreading our message. The conversations were interesting since we just sprout lots of random stuff on the spot haha. The door knocking part is also fun, chatting with the residents and all. The residents were so patient with us! Singaporeans are patient people =) Oh yea, lunch was not bad, there was a free flow of candy floss, popcorn, drinks and food.
The afternoon was around the same thing, just that only Hy, QQ, Yile and I were left. We enjoyed ourselves more in the afternoon though. I think 斗牛·要不要 by tank is really nice, maybe I can start watching the drama!
K that is about it for Crime Zero@Bishan. I was supposed to go to Pasir Ris but did not need to go in the end.(yay)
Somehow I always see Mr. Yellow Rain wherever I go? I can see that 6F is quite a fun class with fun people like you all haha!
K now I am back at home chionging PW. I should really renounce my pathetic attitude towards studies and kick-start my ‘career’.
